UPDATE from Island Wildlife Natural Care Centre

Today, September 18th, the Department of Fisheries & Oceans (DFO) granted the Aquarium des Iles permission to release captive Harp Seal pups, Zac and Mika back to the wild! In a letter from Sylvette Leblanc, Acting Area Director for DFO she stated “… that considering the current situation surrounding the  case … DFO has no objections to the fact that you release the two Harp seals currently kept at the Aquarium des Iles.”
