As you know, the town of San Pedro, which is located on the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize, was planning to use strychnine to kill additional homeless and roaming dogs in the community, despite the existence of an open-admission animal shelter on the island that was willing to take in unwanted dogs and find them homes or provide euthanasia by injection if they could not be safely placed.
