Eight million animals face death to test your toothpaste and washing-up liquid (… but don’t blame the manufacturers, it’s all down to Brussels meddling)

Please take action today and contact the European Commissioner responsible, John Dalli, to let him know that the people of Europe want no delay, no compromise and no cosmetics tests on animals. We believe that it is totally unacceptable to make animals suffer just to produce a new lipstick!

BUAV – petition:
On 11th March 2009, all animal testing of cosmetics in the EU stopped thanks largely to two decades of campaigning by the BUAV and the European Coalition to End Animal Experiments (ECEAE).
But there is a catch. A ‘marketing’ ban that will ensure no animal tested cosmetics are sold in the EU is in jeopardy.
This marketing ban allows three types of animal tests to be carried out outside the EU for cosmetics sold within the EU until March 2013. The reason is to allow non-animal alternative tests to be developed and approved (‘validated’).
Now European Commission officials are considering whether non-animal alternatives will be ready in time for March 2013. Already, a report by scientists is recommending that the ban be delayed even longer – for up to 10 years in some cases.
If they get their way it could mean 10 more years during which thousands of rabbits, guinea pigs, mice and rats will be injected, gassed, or force-fed and killed worldwide for cosmetics sold in the EU.
Please sign our petition and say NO to cruel cosmetics in Europe:

Action alert by Eurogroup for Animals
The EU has decided to end the use of animals to test the safety of cosmetic products but still three animal tests can be used until 2013. The EU is currently deciding decide whether or not to allow the use of animals after 2013 or to bring an end to all animal tests then. We believe that it is totally unacceptable to make animals suffer just to produce a new lipstick!

Ban All Animal-Tested Cosmetics in the EU
Humane Society International – petition
The European Union promised that from 2013, the sale of animal-tested cosmetics would be banned, meaning the EU would become the world’s first cruelty-free cosmetics zone. An EU sales ban would also force companies around the world to stop cosmetics animal testing or have their products removed from EU shop shelves. But now EU decision-makers are looking to delay the ban by up to 10 years, meaning more unnecessary animal testing.
The Cruelty-Free 2013 petition has so far been signed by 141,717 people calling for an end to animal-tested cosmetics. Please add your name today.

It should be clearly seen on every product whether it has been tested on animals , and i bet the companies that tested products on animals would go broke very quickly . People are just getting so sick of this unwarranted cruelty to ANIMALS .
Since the ’80 is already being fought for animal free products. Hundreds of manufacturers have succeeded in that time then proceed. The corrupt companies are testing now in China brutally because they may continue to sell these products here if you can not stop. We do not want products that come from unbearable suffering. The smaller companies, it also managed to animal testing in time to produce. The large corrupt corporations stabbing the money they should have in development now in stabbing campaigns in the EU lobbying. Animal testing is unnecessary! The other companies that have already proven. Some 30 years! And there are plenty of alternatives developed through the years. Let those companies you, look around you lead in their Chinese laboratories
Are you instantly healed of any delay!
Let me see that the EU is still at least good for something!
